Devon Sun Yarns and Woolly Wormhead Hat KAL with handdyed yarn

The Woolly Wormhead KAL was a huge success, with so many heads being warmed with beautiful and interesting hats. I was so inspired by all the different patterns and yarn that were chosen. Right back at the beginning I said I would send a Surprise Yarn Box to winners and of course that seemed so easy at the time – but I forget I would have to chose – selecting winners is so difficult! All the hats were amazing but a few stood out.

Caroline chose to join in and finished this beautiful  Gorton hat – which was her first ever knitted garment! Isn’t that amazing?

Caroline jumped right in with a Gorton hat as her first ever knitted project

Rosie really went the extra mile when she took her hat with her on a knitting holiday in

and ended up making two hats, and giving one away.

Rosie took her KAL continental and knitted in Happsalu whilst on a knitting holiday

Alison kept us all entertained with her game of yarn chicken ( she lost!) and drama with her needles – it was a rollercoaster knit but she made it to a finished hat!

Alison played yarn chicken and lost with her Tucked! Luckily we found another skein and all was good.

All these winners will be receiving a yarn box – don’t forget you can enter every month to win a surprise box of yarn by sharing your photos of any Devon Sun Yarns purchases, stash or projects – just use the #devonsunyarns on Instagram or tag @devonsunyarns on facebook.
