This calendar was designed by me, in my small home studio in Devon. I am an indie dyer, and handdye yarn by the sea for you to enjoy. I use professional dyes that are non toxic, and colourfast. The yarn is painted or kettle dyed by hand, then steam set until the dye has fully exhaust, washed and carefully rinsed before being hung outside to dry in the sea breeze ( when the weather allows – for really rainy days we have an indoor drying area too!). I take steps to reduce our environmental impact, and you’ll find an eclectic mix of new, repurposed and upcycled equipment in the studio, which is partially solar powered. I take all photos using natural daylight, and although I do my best to show them in their true colour, monitors can vary. This calendar is a selection of my favourite yarn photos from the last year. All photos are free from branding and text.
