A speckle colourway with bright aqua and rich purples on a crisp white base. With highlights of jade greens and tiny dots of pink, you’ll get a different colour with every stitch. These yarns were dyed together as part of one dye lot, however each skein is unique due to the nature of the speckle dye technique.
Sprightly is the workhorse of the sock weight yarns – with 25% nylon this is a tough yarn perfectly suited for socks, but the 75% merino makes it soft and wearable everyday close to your skin. It takes the dyes superbly so creates vivid, bright colours and gives great stitch definition.
Machine washable, although we always advise hand washing.

All the yarns are hand dyed by me, in my small home studio in Devon. I use professional dyes that are non toxic, and colourfast. The yarn is painted or kettle dyed by hand, then steam set until the dye has fully exhaust, washed and carefully rinsed before being hung outside to dry in the sea breeze ( when the weather allows – for really rainy days we have an indoor drying area too!). We take steps to reduce our environmental impact, and you’ll find an eclectic mix of new, repurposed and upcycled equipment in the studio, which is partially solar powered. I take all photos using natural daylight, and although I do my best to show them in their true colour, monitors can vary.
