Gallant Aran Handdyed Yarn in a spring green semi solid with flecks on the donegal
Gallant is a beautiful merino yarn spun with Donegal fleck to create a tweed effect. The natural grey colour of the yarn gives beautiful rich colours when dyed, and the softness of the merino combined with the interest of the fleck makes this a really stunning yarn.
Machine washable, although we always advise hand washing.
Gallant Aran Handdyed yarn is a blend of 80% superwash merino 20% donegal nep
All the yarns are hand dyed by me, in my small home studio in Devon. I use professional dyes that are non toxic, and colourfast. The yarn is painted or kettle dyed by hand, then steam set until the dye has fully exhaust, washed and carefully rinsed before being hung outside to dry in the sea breeze ( when the weather allows – for really rainy days we have an indoor drying area too!). We take steps to reduce our environmental impact, and you’ll find an eclectic mix of new, repurposed and upcycled equipment in the studio, which is partially solar powered. I take all photos using natural daylight, and although I do my best to show them in their true colour, monitors can vary.
