Make of the Week , 27/10/17.
I have followed Lucy for many years, and used to enjoy her cooking blog and more recently her crochet makes. Lucy has a real eye for making beautiful crochet items, and they always seem the perfect balance of useful and beautiful! When she used a skein of yarn from Sock Club to make some beautiful tops for her daughter I wanted to share them to inspire others. Lucy has kindly shared some photos here and some words of her own to describe her project.
Maker: Lucy Stableford-Grieve
Pattern: The ‘Iris Top’ pattern by Kinga Erdem on Ravelry here.
My name is Lucy. After convincing myself that I was not a creative person for most of my life, I taught myself to crochet five years ago, using YouTube videos. I am left-handed but crochet right-handed because I didn’t know there was any other way! I started selling as The Pie Patch a year later and still can’t quite believe I am actually doing it. It’s immensely satisfying.
You can find Lucy on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/thepiepatch/ , on Twitter @thepiepatch and Facebook (facebook.com/thepiepatchshop) to see all her wonderful crochet projects.
Huge thanks to Lucy for sharing her make with us, if you have made something using Devon Sun Yarns yarn, and would like to be featured as Maker of the Week, you can read more about it here. You can see previous makes here All you need are a few clear photos so please get in touch.
