Well, hello there stranger! Its been a while since I’ve blogged, and there’s lots to catch up on! Its a new year, and in the last few months there’s been a new studio, many many new yarn bases, a new club, some fantastic retreats, and lots of yarny adventures that I have yet to share with you all incuding becoming a partner on Not On The High Street . In among all that there’s been all the usual family life, Christmas, Birthdays and of course lots and lots of knitting, and a little bit of crochet too! Over the next few weeks I am hoping to go into much more detail about all these things, and show you some of the new yarn in more detail. I know that lots of you are enjoying the new Rainbow Gallant yarn that was sent out in January for Yarn Club. Its a lovely tweed yarn with rainbow flecks, and in semi solid colours is a really lovely way to add a bit of colour to your project without overwhelming the pattern.

Rainbow Gallant – January Yarn Club

This week, on Friday 10th at 8pm GMT there is a big shop update happening, with lots of the Yak Bamboo blend and some new Sock and DK weight yarn too. I have been working really hard to get stock levels back up in the shop and I think I am almost there – helped enormously by my lovely studio assistant, the new studio space and some fantastic storage solutions that I found from Conti so I can now store a lot more yarn.

I know the time for new years resolutions has long passed but this year, I am going back to a yearly promise that I made to myself a few years ago which really seemed to work well – to concentrate on one project at a time with the goal of one project a month. So far, so good – but, you know, its early days! Whatever happens I am looking forward to getting back to chatting more about yarn and telling you all the news from the studio. Until next time – lets not leave it so long hey?
